Financial Conference Near and Middle East 10/2011
On 14th October 2011, NUMOV organised the “Financial Conference Near and Middle East“ on invitation of Deutsche Bank AG in Frankfurt/Main. More than 100 business representatives from various companies attended the conference in order to discuss current economic developments and financing instruments in the MENA region. The EMF was represented by CEO Ingo Heise (2 f.r.).
Giant cooking pot for Kazakhstan
Barth - A cooking pot for six tons of raw material going on the trip. Yesterday a 16-ton tank from engineering company SAB in Barth (member of the EMF group) was delivered. Together with technology and components for a rendering plant it is shipped about Hamburg to Lithuania and then delivered to Kazakhstan. Even customers from Egypt, and Saudi Arabia estimate knowing the quality from Western Pomerania.

TOO "ASTANA-AGROPRODUKT" INCREASES MEAT PRODUCTION
Within the framework of a project to develop its potential of beef for exportation Kazakhstan is going to build about 60 plants with 150,000 fattening places as well as 54 reproduction plants for 72,000 head of cattle within the next five years. The project includes also the foundation of a centre for livestock reproduction allowing to produce about 60,000 tons of meat for exportation. This means that an optimal infrastructure for livestock breeding, meat production, and export will be created. Management of this project in Sabyndy, district Korgalshynskij, region Akmola, has been assigned to TOO "Astana-Agroprodukt".
All meat products will be manufactured under an investment project, realized by the company AO "Agrarnaja Kreditnaja Korporazija" ("Agri Credit Corporation"), a subsidiary of the national holding "Kazagro" that is supporting the creation of a food belt around Astana.
TOO "Astana-Agroproduct" produces halal meat of high quality under the trade band "Bakara" as cattle halves, vacuum-packed products, or sausage products. The whole plant starting from slaughtering up to packaging is implemented with state-of-the-art machines and equipment supplied by the company EMF - it is understood that this equipment meets the latest world standards. The plant which was commissioned in September 2010 has sold 200 tons of meat so far. For the current year a production of more than 1,500 tons is planned. TOO "Astana-Agroproduct's" schedule is to reach the maximum production capacity (5,000 tons of meat and sausage products per year) in 2013.
At the moment TOO "Astana-Agroprodukt" employs about 100 staff members living in the district of Korgalshynskij. The cattle to be slaughtered is delivered from the areas of Akmola, Karaganda, and from the eastern regions of Kazakhstan. To ensure continuous supply of raw product henceforth, TOO "Astana-Agroprodukt" is starting the construction of a fattening plant. In this context, recruitment of another 40 specialists is planned.
