EMF manufactures and installs throughout the world slaughtering lines for pigs with a capacity of 5 to 500 pigs/hour, 5 to 60 head of cattle/hour and of 20 to 500 sheep/hour.

As the full planning of the slaughtering lines is done by EMF, it is no problem for our specialists to define the parameters of the building in cooperation with our construction department and to prepare a comprehensive offer including the building. Normally, the buildings are offered and supplied as steel structures, cladded with insulating panels, including doors, gates, refrigeration equipment, compressed air etc. (depending on customer’s request).
PIGS:
Stunning
EMF supplies two stunning systems:
Electric stunning and stunning by CO2. Depending on the slaughtering capacity it is possible to incorporate fully automatic stunning restrainers.
The decision for any of these stunning methods depends on several criteria:

Bleeding systems
Depending on the slaughtering capacity EMF supplies vertical as well as horizontal bleeding installations. Blood can be extracted for food production by using a hollow plunger knife, and collection of the blood is done by advanced blood collection systems.
Scalders
EMF scalders are equipped with an appropriate temperature control system (steam) and circulation pumps. Optionally, it is possible to install heat exchangers.
Scalding tunnel for scalding in hanging condition
The EMF scalding tunnel for the vertical scalding of pigs (economical for capacities of 120 pigs or more) ensures scalding of the pigs in hanging condition. The installation is fitted with longlife stainless steel panels. Water recirculation is done by recirculation pumps. Temperature and water level are controlled by special sensors.

Dehairing
A good degree of dehairing is achieved by optimal coordination of scalding installation and dehairing machine. The machine allows setting of various parameters being able to affect the result of dehairing, e. g. scalding time or scalding temperature. Therefore EMF offers various dehairing installations for different capacities.
